Apex Student Ministry Update
Something Needs to Change:
While we have taken a temporary break from the normal Wednesday night activities. I think this study has been a great time of growth and thinking outside the norm for our students. The generational relationships that are being formed are going to pay huge dividends down the road. We will continue with this study on Wednesday nights and using it to help us frame our thoughts for our service project in March.
Youth Worship Night:
Feb. 19th in the Apex (6:30-7:30). We will not be meeting with the adults.
Student Baptism:
Please join us on March 1st for Unified Worship (5:30-6:30 pm).  We will end the evening by baptizing one of our students!!
Service Project: March 16th
I wanted to go over some details about this opportunity and to make note that this will be somewhat fluid until we nail down some specific plans and ideas. The idea of this specific project is for our students to find and lead out in a service opportunity. We want them to see the people around them, identify the need, and then us as a student ministry come up with a plan to meet the need. We want to reach out to our Jerusalem (Acts 1:8).
The project can be just about anything as long as it is meeting the physical and spiritual needs of people. Maybe you have a friend down on their luck and their family needs some help? Maybe you know of a senior home that needs some volunteers? Maybe someone at school is struggling? Identify a need and bring it to the group. We will work together to figure out how to meet that need and to take the Gospel into our Jerusalem. Be looking for something and let’s bring ideas to Sunday School on Feb. 23rd and March 1st. The plan, as of now, is to do this project on March 16th. We will start at 9:00 am.
